Getting Started

CornerStone Workflow Toolkit is a powerful, user-friendly tool that equips your team to create professional diagrams of your business processes using familiar Excel templates.

Quick Start

Step 1: Installation

To get started, download and install the CornerStone Workflow Toolkit from our official website.

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.

Installing CornerStone Workflow Toolkit

Follow these steps to install the CornerStone Workflow Toolkit:

  • Navigate to the GitHub release page for CornerStone Workflow Toolkit.
  • Download the installer file named “CornerStone Workflow Toolkit.exe”
  • Once downloaded, run the “CornerStone Workflow Toolkit.exe” file.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process.
  • After installation, a new folder called “CornerStone Toolkit” will be created on your Desktop.
  • Inside this folder, you’ll find a file named “ToolKit_template.xlsx”.
  • Open “ToolKit_template.xlsx”.
  • The toolkit menu, labeled “Cas Toollit”, can be found on the second tab next to the “Home” tab in Excel.

Step 3: Choose a Template

Navigate to the ‘Templates’ section of the toolkit and choose from a variety of pre-made Excel templates designed for different types of UML diagrams. Here are the available templates:

  • Work Breakdown Structure
  • Activity Diagram
  • Swim Lane Diagram
  • Sequence Diagram
  • Data Flow Diagram
  • Deployment Diagram

Step 4: Enter Data in the Steps Columns

In the chosen template, you’ll find ‘Steps’ columns where you can enter data corresponding to different elements of your UML diagram.

Step 5: Process the Worksheet

After entering the data, click on the “Process worksheet” button on the toolkit. This will convert the ‘Steps’ data into a PlantUML source code and a UML diagram, both of which are embedded right in the template and also saved to a folder on your PC.

Future Developments

We’re constantly working to improve and expand the capabilities of the CornerStone Workflow Toolkit. As part of our roadmap, we’re planning to release a command-line version of the tool for developers, as well as versions compatible with Office 365 web version and Google Sheets.
